We have been using these in several different forms for quite some time. We used to use cheap plastic bags and put the waste in a trash can in the garage. By the end of the week the garage was pretty stinky. These bags allow us to flush the waste and keep a nice smelling garage. We tried the version of these that comes in a roll. That's great because you can attach the roll to your leash with a container made for that. Those bags are difficult to tear apart, however. We also tried the packets, and those are fine, but this "wallet style" pouch is the best for us. It holds more bags. I told my kids many years ago: If you EVER see me walking around the neighborhood with a hot, steaming bag of dog poo, just shoot me, I've lost my mind already! So, I am not really writing a review of a dog-poo bag, because, well, I would not really have a dog, dog poo, or be walking around with a bag of fresh dog poo. I do however see a man. The man has a dog, the dog visits, the dog poos...you can see where this is going...so the man and his dog are trying out these amazing bags in my downstairs bathroom. These bags are DENSE. They are SLICK. You unfold one from the package, a bit tedious I admit, but then you slip your hand inside it, and you pick up the poo - so I am told by the dog man - and invert the bag, never touching the poo, and you flush the UNTIED bag right down the toilet. Amazing. No smelly presents left behind at my house. I was excited to try these bags. But, because of two major issues, we won't be buying them again. First they are very short. Plenty wide enough but the bag is simply not long enough. It barely covered my hand and was not long enough to knot, which led to poop on my hand. Second I do not feel comfortable flushing them. I put one in the bowl and let it sit to make sure it would dissolve. After about 4 hours it appeared just as solid as ever. Maybe it will dissolve later but the risk of a toilet clogged with a dog poop bag is not a fun thought to entertain. I'm glad these bags worked for some people but they were just not for me. |
